Sigh...

Someone stole the "TL" off of my trunk this morning. I had no desire to "debadge". It's pathetic, but I guess you have to expect it these days.

Out of curiosity, how are the badges attached to the car?

I saw one TSX got debadged in Jan, the thief tried to take out Acura mark of the trunk, and unfortunately it's with two screws... you only see the half Acura badge left... this is even worse.

Most badges are held on by this super super glue. When it is broken off, you can actually see the hardended residue

most of the manufactuers, if not all do not use super glue, it is adhesive(double sided tape) that are waterproof. i have debaged a few cars and havent seen any of them that were super glued on, because that will ruin the paint, and people would never be able to debadge their cars. it would rip the emblem with the paint right off

Emblems are held on by double sided sticky tape like what 3M sells. It is very strong stuff and offers to hold up to 30 pounds which is amazing. The A logo is held on by the double sided sticky tape plus the 2 screws as mentioned before. When I get my TL, I'm taking off all those badges except the A.

What they should do is run the battery wiring through the metal badge so when some punk tries to pull it off, he gets shocked. I would get a car alarm that had this feature...
