Anyone changed their front sidemarkers yet? How hard is it to change?

First off, I have had them off the car, when I made them blink, but they are a sealed unit, so you have to heat them to melt the glue, one person tried that and messed up the light. They have LED bulbs inside, so once you do open them, you will have to solder new LED's in thier place, plus use the right droping resistor to limit the current as all LED's are not equal in electrical ratings

Good luck, not sure why you want to change the LED color anyway?

I didn't know it was LED. I thought it was the same as the 5th gen Maximas where it uses bulbs.
The front is smoked and it would look better if it lights up white instead of yellow.

There are two amber LED's inside the smoked lens, sorry, no incandescent bulbs inside (I am talking about the ones on the back of the front fender, and then the rear has 3 red LED's inside).

The shop manual confirms this (besides my visual observation, just look at them, you can see the two amber dots inside).

Good luck should you go for it (beware, get a replacment price first, I think they are about $80 each)!
