Side view mirrors tilting?

Any way to get both mirrors to tilt at the same time?

As Ron said you can have one or the other, or neither, but not both mirrors tilting.

I wonder if there is a way to mod it so that both tilt down at the same time?

I think it for convenience, with safety considerations, for the majority of the drivers. Say you are backing into a parallel parking place, with the curb on the right. The right mirror tilts down so you can see the curb. but the left mirror stays level so you can check traffic coming from the rear.

I agree with Ron A. Curb side tilts for convenience, non-curb side stays up for safety to observe traffic.

yeah there is no need for both mirrors to tilt. i parallel park alot and would hate to have both mirrors tilt. you need to see cars coming behind you.

I have an expedition that has this feature and they both tilt. This is also nice in a driveway to see what you may be running over backing up? Explanations above make good sence for parallel parking though. Thanks

Yes! jwinter you are right. My driveway is long way to the street from the garage and everytime I backedup on the street I thought that having an ability for both the mirrors to tilt would be nice.

Acura could have done, when put in reverse;

Tilt left when switch is on left
Tilt right when switch on right and
Tilt both when in center.

Exclamation

Instead of double-tilt down, I prefer having the power fold-in for side mirrors. Lots of cars have this alreayd, as MB said, driver-programmable automatic folding feature retracts side mirrors upon remote-locking of car, and folds mirrors out when car is unlocked and a front door is opened.

yeah the auto fold in would be nice to have. parallel parking in nyc i always fold in the mirrors. that extra couple of inches might prevent my mirrors from being torn off.

One really has nothing to do with the other. Yes power-folding mirrors would be nice. Tilt-down is nice, too.
