Okay so Saturday night around 1130 I was driving down the street and as jaywalker ran across the street, I swerved to miss him, causing me to hit a GMC Safari with my side view mirror. 6 huge dents to the right rear fender, couple dents on the door, and a few long scratches. Yesterday, I had a friend fix the dents since he works at a body shop and repaint it, as well as buff out all the scratches. All that is left is the mirror, which is destroyed, but he nailed it back on and got a replacement glass from Pepboys just so the cops won't pull me over. In the meantime, I have to get a new mirror.
My 2 questions are:
1. Are the side view mirrors on he 04-06 the same as the 02-03? Also, are they the same as the 07-08?
2. How long should I wait for the repaint before I buff the whole car up and take it for a wash and wax?

1. Not sure if the 02-03 mirror will fit 04-06, but 07-08 should fit.
2. Wait at least 4 weeks, some say 6 weeks before waxing. Paint needs to cure. You can wash it though. Get a soap with no wax in it.
