Side mirrors in Reverse

Ok, so everyone here knows that when you put your TL in Reverse, the side mirror slants so that you can see the ground - presumably the curb when you are backing up. What I want to know is - why is this happening (at least on my 05 TL Navi) to just the left side? I was sure that at one point the right side did it once or twice, but now it's just the left side.

I would prefer that the right side did it because when I parallel park on the right side of the street (per normal US Standards), I would like to see the curb so that I don't scuff my wheels up.

Is this a preference ? Is it automatic - having something to do with the direction the wheel is turned?

The manual says nothing about it whatsoever, so naturally, i gotta turn to the expos at Acurazine...Thanks in Advance!!

I wish both sides would do it when left in the middle position.

no problemo; be prepared for some people to respond.. "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!"

But, since this thread is already open.. :

- You can roll the windows down & open the sunroof by using your keyfob [unlock, unlock + hold until you have them at the desired level]

- You can roll the windows down & up and open & close the runroof by using your key in the door: Lock -> Lock + Hold to initiate roll up; Unlock -> Unlock + Hold to roll down; again let go when it's at the level you want

Thats exactly what i was thinking, my cousin's 07 escalade does that, its so sweet if you have small or stuffed garage or in tight parking spots.

It's either/or. You'll have to manually select which side by clicking on the mirror button.
