Hey guys so been wanted my side marker in the fened look the same is my head light seen i pain inside of my head lights i swwap the white led to the turn signal .. So i got tierd of seen my yellow side marker and didnt wanted spend money on the new ones so i put them a part and change the leds inside to the white fast and cheap upgrate to your car ..

A couple of us on acurazine have changed out the amber LEDs on the front side markers to white LEDs. For some reason they start to blink and go out in a couple weeks.

 

I bought mine from USR with the white LEDs already in them.

 

I got USR for over one year ! They look great, no problems!

I'm intrigued by the idea and I hadn't thought about it until I saw his thread. I think they would look great with my LED DRLs and switchbacks. Doesn't sound like there is a reliable method of making it happen though....

 

These are the USR ones I've had for almost two years. I was the first to order them and they are a direct swap.

 

Damn, certainly looks nice. Isn't it illegal to have white lights on the back of the car tho?

Made my own white led sidemarkers from the DIY on here, 2 years almost, with noo problems.

Lexus uses white license plate lighting.

Yea, that's what I was talking about. Apart from the license plate light, I think all lights in the rear half of the car are supposed to be red or amber. But I'm not sure if it would actually be enforced anywhere since it probably hardly comes up anyway.

CL, how close are they USR lights to stock? If I just used fronts from them and left my rear stock, would anyone notice that they are different lenses?

 

There is a difference.

The USR ones are pretty much DEPO sidemarkers with white LEDs. Therefore, the housing is solid black, unlike the OEM Type-S sidemarkers which are more of a grey color.

 

Thanks. Guess that rules out just using the fronts. I wonder what the difference is that makes the backs not plug and play.

 

I think it's because the DEPO rear side markers only have two prongs while the OEM Type-Sagave 3.

NO i made my owe ones .. Just swap leds inside of my stock side marker ..
