How is the Mini beating the LS in anything let alone technology? For gods sake, this is the car that parks itself. Does the mini even come with nav?

They picked the CTS as the winner![WTF Sick](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/wtfsick.gif)
When they selected the cts instead of the LS, they said the LS only had 1 major tech feature and the CTS had 2. But when they mentioned the TL, they bitched about torque steer. So its about the tech between the LS and the CTS but its a full car review against the TL
. Looks like cnet needs to keep moving the goal post to look creditable

Cnet also wrote: "Our staff judges felt that the 2008 Acura TL Type S had too much torque steer and too many buttons on the interface to be Tech Car of the Year."
"Too many buttons??"

I like Cnet and do read its car reviews, but do so with a grain of salt-- the reviewers often don't seem to know how to deal with or operate Voice Recognition and Bluetooth-connected devices very well!

They're idiots. First the d!ckhead review and now they can't even count to 3.
Funny, but it looks to me like the CTS came in THIRD behind the TL-S and the Mini Cooper S.

I don't think the 2008 TL-S *should* be Tech Car of the Year - there's no new Break Through tech in '08. Most of the cool stuff is held-over from '04 - '06 with a few add-on's (like ANC) in '07. Nothing new in 2008.
I just don't think CNET should be making stuff up to make the "winner" come out the way they want it. Why not just declare the Tech Car of the Year and save the dumb ass BS?
On second thought, CNET should just stick to PC's, Televisions and Cell Phones. You know, things they actually understand.
.... our reader poll had the CTS as second behind the 2008 Acura TL Type S.

Truthfully, I would give the Tech of the Year award to Lexus 600h, this is truly a remarkable car.
If the award also counted the best car for the buck, in this case we are definitely number 1, we def' have better tech than the benzes listed there, and our electronics don't break every month![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
PS mini cooper? cts? now that's a joke.

They’re full of sh*t. They contradicted themselves by giving this to the CTS. If you search on CNET.com, their rating for the CTS was an 8.7 while the rating for the LS600H was a 9.7.
I agree with the person who said the TL shouldn’t have won because there really weren’t any technological breakthroughs with the 08 but the CTS definitely didn’t deserve the win either.
