I had the short shifter installed. It's not hype. The throws are reduced nicely. Any other questions let me know.

It's definitely worth the price. The install can get pricey if you get it done at the dealer though.

I like it. The shifter throw is cut to about half the distance, and can shift much more quickly.

1 quick question thou... right now with the stock shifter i am able to shift fast enough to get just a hit of gear grind (manly 1-2) its like the gear is getting slammed into place since the syncros cant speed 2nd up fast enough... this only really happens when i am really racing it... wont a short shifter exacirbate this issue?

Yes it has the potential exacerbate this issue. The gear grind occurs because my clutch movement is not as fast as my hand movement. It takes some adjusting. It has not occurred to me because when I got the short shifter I was slow with it, and I was more cautious than with the stock shifter. Then as I got acclimated to the effort and the length of the throw, I was able to time my feet to move in accordance with my shift.

No problems so far.
