Has anyone with 5AT changed their shift knob?

Yes they have. I've seen people put MOMO knobs on.

 

Yes, I switched mine to the wooden shift knob, looks classier than the crap that comes with the car. However, I have Camel interior.

 

Who has done the Momo shift knob? Any pictures??

How do you figure the stocker is crap? I wasn't ( and still am not) aware that the color of the interior has anything to do with the shifter knob - mine's Camel too, but every 5AT I have seen has black leather.

And most Momo's look - well, added on - to each his own, I guess. The one in the pic looks like the offspring of The Alien and a flamingo.

 

I have an auto '04 TL with the standard shift knob. I can barley take out my CD Jewel cases from the upper CD compartment while the car is in park. I try to make it ahabit to change out CD's before the car is in motion (for safety reasons). Can you access the CD storage bin with the MOMO knob while it is in the park position?

Just curious cause I love the shifter and am considering purchasing it, but dont want to have to put the key into the igintion in order to get a CD out.

 

I am answering my own question. Judging from the picture above that is a big ass NO!

 

Road Rage, I think he brought up his Camel interior because of his wooden oem shift knob. It definitely wouldn't look right with quartz or ebony.
