She finally did it!!
I cleaned the car over the weekend (for the first time in over a month) and noticed that the only surviving OEM wheel was finally introduced to the curb. The right rear was the sole survivor of the bunch. The others were taken care of months ago. The car celebrated its one year birthday (anniversary of it's coming home, actually) on Friday, 4/22. It has almost 10,000 miles on it. I think she did pretty well. What do you guys think? Has anyone else curbed all four wheels yet?
I'm impressed that she managed to get the right rear, considering she hasn't parallel parked in her life. I'm so proud.

i've had mine 15 months with 38k kms. (canadian) i was feelign really bad damaging 3 rims until i read you post. i'm considering gettign a wider tire say 245. i really don't want to upset the computer though. i will be gettign the rims fixed. the dealer does it cheap. the only thing is, it's not so cheap if your doing 3 or 4 rims. they should give me a discount for volume!

I think he was talking about staying with the stock 17" rims and going from 235 to 245 section width on replacement tires. I'm considering this as well, I doubt sincerely that it would make that huge a difference.

Sadly, at this point I have lost a total of 4 rims...
1) Front Passanger 18" ASPEC -- Dealer dropped when checking breaks during service (Replaced)
2) Rear Passanger 17" Stock -- Stupid Construction in Parkade made corner impossiblely tight for cars our size (Didn't Care, Winter Tire)
3) Front Passanger 17" Stock -- Again, supid construction in Parkade two months later, I had the choice of taking my mirror out on rebar or losing a rim... no fun
4) Front Passanger 18" ASPEC -- Damn idiot that I am take my new rim from the dealer and drop it while rolling it down the driveway to put on my car for the new season...
I have given up on having nice rims... I will eventually fix the ASPEC, but my car doesn't seem to like me so much... My Escort hated me, resulting in 9 accidents (Non of which were my fault), so I decided it was a metal magnit, my Mustang I had for two years, not even a scratch or stone chip, now the TL... seems to be going the way of the Escort
