Hi there,

Would anyone know how I can go about getting a Shark Fin Antenna for my 05 TL. I've seen US models with them, but my Canadian version did not come with one. I'd like to buy it online so please send me a link if possible. Oh and are they just stick on or does it require drilling.

The US model does not come with a sharkfin either. If you saw one, it was aftermarket.

Are you talking about the XM hump? Canadian models don't come with XM so our cars don't have those.

on "shark fin antenna". You will get lots of results, including this one, which would really look good on a TL.

Sorry about the flaming but as you can see the people in this forum vigorously oppose the attachment of shark fin antennae on the TL. This opposition should not result in your question not being answered, and I thought your questions were answered.

I gave you the google hint, even though my example was a little far out. Googling would have resulted in this link, which is a stick on antenna and might be to your liking.

If you saw one on a TL it wasn't Acura made, so the US dealers wouldn't have it either.

You should check the internet and also contact a BMW dealer to see if they have one, but theirs will probably require cutting a hole or getting your own double sticky tape to put it in, and the color wouldn't match either.

Like Ron said, alot of people are not fans of the fins. I for one don't like it when people try to make thier Honda product look like a BMW. (Angel eyes, M3 look-a-like-wheels, front fender gills and now "shark fin antennae") But... to each his/her own. It's your car, not mine.

First of all, you're from Brampton. No Canadian model TLs have shark fin on the roof since we don't even have XM. Whatever you saw on the road is from someone who put an aftermarket antenna on the roof. Dealership don't stock them.

So go to pacific mall and buy urself one of those blue led shark fin antenna.

Actually, XM is now offered in Canada in the 06 model TL's. They didn't offer it on the 04-05 models.

The 04, 05 and 06 Canadian TL's do not have XM, only the 07 model will have it in Canada. As for making my car look like a BMW with a shark fin antenna, well I'm not too sure how that would be possible as anyone who know's cars would know that I'm driving an Acura. And for your information BMW's are not the only other cars with shark fin antennas, the AUDI, VOLVO, Mercedes and Lexus all have Shark Fin type antennas. So maybe I'll just go to each of those dealerships and buy different emblems and put them on my car, since I'm trying to make my car look like all of those mentioned above right!

It does, but I'll never admit to having one.

My top speed and gas mileage went up because it slices through the air like a hot knife, and when the light blinks all the K-Mart shoppers gather around my car.
