Several lights not working in interior
Several lights not working in interior
I have noticed that I have several lights that seen to have "burnt" out in the interior, such as the "enter" button on the MID control, the light for the driver's seat heater switch, the hands free button on the steering wheel. they are all in different places, so i doubt it is a fuse issue. anyone else having these problems?
Very Strange! Just yesterday I noticed the same thing. My Drivers Seat heater switch is out as well as the Hands-free Dial button on the steering wheel. I searched around some other threads and others have had the same problem, but the threads never went anywhere. It seems like people were going to bring the car into the dealer, but never posted if they did. We could probably replace the bulbs ourselves, but I was looking up the prices at the Acura eStore and they seem pretty expensive, so it would be better to have the dealer do it under Warranty. I live 50 miles from the nearest Acura dealer so I won't be able to bring it in for a while. I was wondering if they will tell me they won't fix it because I installed Dom's Unit and a DVD Player.
I've had bulbs burnt out on steering wheel & radio switch w/ volume up & down......
Currently my sunroof button, MAX button, & SELECT button are burnt out too....
Since I was still under warranty, when I called to make the service appoinment, the dealer is replacing the bulbs for free. I just have to wait for the special order bulbs to arrive to go back. I was worried about the warranty because I commute about 500 miles per week & by the time the service appointment came........... I would be out of warranty. Although I do have the extended warranty.
So you should go to the dealer & have it serviced. No problem was found in what caused the bulbs to burn out. Good luck.

same thing here... i might just buy a new switch and do it myself.. I think they are like 45 bucks or something.. i have all the wires for my EDFC running throught the center console and i don't want the dealership giving me a hastle over fixing it...
Same thing happen to me. max light, enter, trunk button, HFL dial and driver seat heater lights are out. I will be taking my car in for service on tuesday. I've had the dealer change out the lights for new ones before. I'm still under warrenty. let see if they do it again...

Is this going to be a reoccurring problem?
We usually keep vehicles MANY years. It looks like several people have numerous bulbs going dead after bout 2 to 3 years. At that rate I will be replacing 20 to 30 bulbs in the life of the car.
Over my 30 years of owning a total of 20 vehiles, I think I only had 2 bulbs go out.
and that was on a 23 year old car.
I am about to purchase my first Acura. Obviously a TL.
A $37,000.00 car should not need to have the bulbs replaced every 2 years. Its may not be the cost of the bulbs, but its the hassle of replacing them, and the inconvienence when the bulbs go out.
What type of bulbs are these. I would assume that they would be LEDs. Shouldnt they last along time?
I had a 1967 Firebird that I bought in 1977. I owned it for 13 years. No bad bulbs....
I have a 1989 Nissan Maxima that I have owned since new. its over 17 years old. No bad bulbs.
Ive had MANY older vehicles, and many new vehicles. All of which I've owned for at least 5 years each. I know, it seems like a lot of vehicles. I usually have 3 to 4 vehicles at one time. Between personal use and my business, they all get many miles use. I still think I have only seen 2 bulbs dead.

So why are these bulbs burning out?
I know these post are old but I ran into some troubles recently and began searching around. I came across these conversations and decided to tell my story. Although my situation seems a little stranger. Seems like something might have shorted in my electrical system. Most of my interior lights work, but there are some like the lock/unlock switch led on the doors, the heated seat button lights, radio lights, sunroof lights, and underneath the dash lights are all dead. I checked all the fuse, and everything seem fine. I just can't figure out why only some interior lights are dead and not the others. I've even try switching out the bulbs, the entire unit for some of these parts and still nothing. I truly hope some have an idea or solution.
