the service today...
Here is my story:
I got several problems need to be fixed (like engine vibration etc.), and I also got a
service due, so I made a service appointment for today. (I made the appointment
few days ago, and told them all the problems my car got, told them they may need a whole day to fix those problems.)
I'm in holiday, but I still got up very early today, and drop the car in the dealer
at 8:00am this morning. Why so early? Coz I'd like to give them enough time to
check and fix all the problems. (and yeh, I also wanna give them enough time to
do the small service: oil change!)
After 9 hrs,
they called me: "U still wanna pick up u car today?"
I said: yeh. they said: we r closed at 5:30pm.
I said: So, have u finished everything? they said: bla bla bla, no time , bla bla bla...
(didn't hear them clearly, but anyway, I had to go to the dealer and pick up my car rite?)
So I drove back to the dealer to pick up my car, and they showed me the Invoice,
when I saw it (invoice), I was like "wtf"?! After 9 hrs wait, they just did a fuckin
OIL change and a fukin OIL filter change (or cleaning wutever) for me!
for those problems, they only printed out a short words: no enough time
today unfortunatly, need to rebook.
What really pissed me off is when I looked at the Labor hours: 0.30 hour...
I got up early in the morning drove 30 mins to the dealer, droped my car there for
the whole day, and they only spent 30 mins on my car! they only spent 30 mins
on my car! They asked me to rebook another appointment to take a look those problems,
ok! who's gonna pay for the time and gas?! huh?!

It happened to me several times, have to rebook rebook, rebook!
Can anyone here tell me what does "appointment" mean to them (service ppl)?
They even didn't write down all the problems I told them! and of course, they didn't
check anything either!

Don't feel bad, I've had this happen to me everywhere from Pep Boys to Mercedes Dealers. I used to "save" up a few problems and take it in to get them all fixed. Unfortunately, most of the time only about 50% of the problems were fixed. Now I get one at a time fixed. Sad but true.

that's pretty standard lately since everyone is trying to do service on the cheap and hiring people who do not give a dam. But they still get their hourly rate!
Do you still wanna pick up your car today huh.. No hell I want it there so it can get dented and I have another car to drive while my car is being fixed.
Going to another dealer is not always the solution since sometimes it is over an hour's drive to get there. Really convenient!!!
