I had ordered the service manual from helminc a few days ago... I got it today and they sent me the 2004 manual - so there are no differences in it for the 2005.

I scanned ALL the pages and posted them in PDF files. I have seen people in the past who have wanted to find a page or two for whatever they wanted - so here you go... [LINK REMOVED. POSTING OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL IS PROHIBITED]

Every other page is upside down... I did not notice until after I scanned all of the pages, so deal with it lol.... print out the pages you want and flip them rightside up.

For some reason section 15 is missing from my manual so if somebody else has the manual, let me know if you have it in yours....

So for all those who feel the need to give me points for fun lol

There are two icons on the PDF toolbar to rotate the page, so you don't have to stand on your head or print it out to read it.

Now I won't have to do all those scans and uploads and, this is the hard part, finding it in the first place.

There is no Section 15, so you didn't lose anything.

Anybody want to buy a service manual cheap.

 

Isn't it...copyrighted? (As in Helm and/or Acura will be a little upset at lost sales?) I'm not a lawyer, but....


This service manual is actually cheap compared to what other manufacturers charge. ($300, for example).

Guys: As extremely valuable a resource as this is too all of us... it is illegal.

This violates the publishers copyright, which is clearly visible in those scanned documents.

Because the ENTIRE DOCUMENT is scanned, it would not even be eligble for protection under any "Fair Use" principles.

Several representatives from Honda Motor Co. actively peruse this site. We have been asked to remove copyrighted material such as this in the past, and I can't run the risk of upsetting Honda's corporate attorneys any further.


Like I said, this is a very valuable resource of knowledge, and IMO, should be supplied free of additional charge with the purchase of our vehicles.

We're I the copyright owner, I would allow you to freely distribute this to the masses.


Unfortunately, I do not own the copyright, and I can not run the risk of being sued.

As a side note:

A relatively smaller site I visit frequently was sued this past month by Sony Pictures because they posted a video clip of Ken Jennings Jeapordy loss prior to the airing on television.

The site has since nearly shut down... and by the time the legal process is complete... Sony will probably own that site, it's domain, and it's contents.

We can't have that happen here.
