Seat Width

I was wondering if someone could do me a favor and measure the width of the bottom of the driver seat at its widest point and the same for the top of the seat.

Maybe you should buy a tape measure.

Actually I would have to buy the car first which is a lot more expansive proposition, although I do have a tape measure so I guess I am half way there, or not.

I don't have the measuresments, but here are some specs from the acura site.

Hip Room (front/rear)
55.6 in (1412 mm)/53.8 in (1367 mm)

Shoulder Room (front/rear)
58.3 in (1482 mm)/55.7 in (1414 mm)

I'm a big guy and went from a 2000 Maxima to my 2005 TL. I had plenty of room in the Maxima and even more room in the TL.

If how you are going to fit in the car is a concern, the best suggestion I have is to go and sit in one and take it for a test drive.

Seat bottom max width 20 inches
Seat back max width 21 inches

Is this what you want?

Thanks, that was what I was looking for. Also, if possible I would like to find out the measurements for the width of the flat portion of the bottom and top. That would be the perforated area and not the bolsters themselves. Thanks again for the info.

Just by looking at those numbers (so small) I'm guessing he did only measure the perf parts and not the side bolsters. Thats what I thought you were after in reading the first post.

Nope, I previously measured gross width.
The width of the perf. portions are:
Seat bottom 14 5/8 inches (meas. near front)
Seat back 11 1/2 inches (meas. near top)

Title101, what is your reason for these measurements, looking into a fix for the butt prints?

I was just curios to see how they compare to the seats in my 2004 Accord 6-speed. My seats seem to hold up to butt prints pretty good but you never know.
