Scratched Metal Center HELP!

Just curious if anyone knows how much and if one of the center console metal strips on the drivers side can be replaced. My wife scratched the hell out of it and it catches my eye every time. Is this something that I can do myself? Maybe the dealer will cover it?

I'm still wondering if this has anything to do with Acura's seatbelt changes for '05.

If you buy the part, maybe you'd be better off putting it in storage until you go to sell the car. Judging from the way this thing is designed, I'm not sure there's anything you can do to prevent the occasional scratch.

The peices run about $80 if bought online. I replaced the passenger side one a week after I bought the car. I was installing a phone mount and snapped the top half when removing it.

Might you know the web adress where I can pick up the piece? If so it would be of great help. Any help on how to pull off the old piece without destroying the car would be of help as well. Thanks!

I got mine at www.h-o-n-d-a-c-u-r-a-w-o-r-l-d.com remove the "-". The site is a competior of a sponsor and thus banned.

The problem I ran into when I removed mine was I started from the armrest but when I got to the section arond the navi the "metal" seperated from the plastic mounting that was attached to the dash and thus bent. Wait to you get your new piece and it will make sense.

good luck
