Your probably young like me (I'm 15)

Just throw the power factor to embarass her:

Scion - 160 HP
TL - 268 HP

Hahaha, childlike, I know, but hey... Just pointing one of the million facts proving your TL is MUCH better. Rest easy.

tC and TL are intended for very different target market. TL is an entry luxury car, whatever it means. Its target market is male in his 40s and makes $100k a year.

Scion tC is Toyota's attempt to attract the younger, hip, crowd. By attracting younger buyer, Toyota hopes to retain (most of) them for life and they will step up to a Toyota or Lexus later in their lives. Toyota is doing this because Toyota and Lexus brands' average age is too old for Toyota execs.

In short, tC and TL are too different to compare. Just ignore her. She's jealous and/or has 0 clue about cars.

The TC is better because it doesn't rattle. And no butt prints in the seats, either. If I were you, I'd trade the TL for a TC immediately.

If you can't do that, add lots of stickers like Injen, Endless, etc. Each one adds 5hp and takes 1/10th of a second off your quarter mile. Top it off with a huge wing on the back (good for another 20hp) and you'll be running circles around her TC.

Boy, that original question was just asking for all sorts of flaming responses, but I think those posters that identified jealousy on part of the coworker are correct.
FYI, I looked at a nicely loaded Scion Tc (as well as G35, Avalon, TSX, RX-8, CTS, Mustang GT, GTO, etc.) before getting the TL. The TL is twice the price of the Tc and is worth it.
Besides, my wife and kids would have laughed at me if I got the Tc...

Are you serious? Have you seen the interior of a scion tc? The whole car has cheap plastic. Shes comparing oranges to apples.

Ok I lied. That is not all.

For those bashing the TC, get a life. That's like kicking a 10 year old's butt. Yeah, you're the man.

I find the whole "competition" funny. Don't get me wrong, I love my car, but I'm never in the mood to step on someone else's car in order to make me feel better (that applies both to the lady with the TC and you).

Take the high road. There are more important things in life.

Yes, I forgot to say that OP ViNhXoNxAcuraTL shouldn't need to feel any response to the coworker or comparison is necessary. Otherwise, ViNhXoNxAcuraTL can just smile, say "Yes, your car is nice, but I like mine more..." before waving sweetly and driving away slowly and maturely.

And she has a crush on you little man. Even insulting comments can be 'attention'.

Remember I told you, she wants you.

Edit: BTW, what kind of 43 y.o woman drives a TC? Adjectives anyone?

Yeah, a coworker of mine seems to think that his V6 Mustang is faster than my TL. I just nod, and say sure it is. Didnt really want to rub it in his face. I have learned in my short life, that some battles aren't worth it.

You can let stupid people be stupid, you dont have correct them. Just nod and say, "sure it is."

Then when your leaving work stomp on the gas and feel the power.

at this thread. I don't know whether to lock it to put it out of its misery, or allow it to go on simply to see how far it can go, like a car wreck right in front of me.

This thread is sort of like watching a police chase on TV in SoCal... with just as good a likelihood of a wreck somewhere, except that we forum posters get to toss things onto the train tracks and remove pieces of rail to see what happens.

Why hasn't anyone said "Better at what?"
Give the devil his due. The TC gets somewhat better gas mileage and consumed fewer natural resources to produce. So on those two counts, the TC is better.

For one smaller person it might be a better and less expensive decision. I'm keeping my TL though.

Ah...a glimpse into the inner workings of mega moderating. I agree.

I'd like to see where it goes, and who else will post that the "TL is OBVIOUSLY better" in very long monotonous diatribes.

Tell her if she wants to hump you, she doesn't have to insult your car to get you to talk to her. She could have just said "Hey, your hot. Wanna hump?" If I was single and she was hot (and clean), I'd her if she said that to me.
