Safely jacking up car - jack stand use

I plan on installing my new rear sway bar (it arrived Monday) once the awful heat dies down. I'm going to jack up the rear with my floor jack placed at the steel loop piece rear jacking point. Do you place the jack stands on the little notches on the cars side where the car jack is intended to be placed, or is there another beefed-up point under the car for the jack stands. This will be my first time under the car and I intend on working safely. Thanks for any experienced words of wisdom.

Look under the car, there should be a spot you'll notice for the jack.

Yes... I jack the the rear at the steel loop an place the stands where the metal slat hangs down (where the OEM jack goes)...

Did it in the front last night to change the oil an MTL.

Funny story...
I tried to jack my TL yesterday in the heat to change the oil and MTL... and the jack left a major dent in my driveway... That heat really softened up the asphalt.

I had to move down tot he street to get it lifted enough to install hjack stands.
