RWD revisited - axle and tranny from S2000?

lets see.. a tranny and axle made for 160 lb/ft of torque, put into an engine 50% bigger with almost 90 more lb/ft of torque.. would eat it alive.
That and there is no room in our TL frame for it, no lump in the floorpan for the driveshaft.
This isn't Lego-Land

Uh, no.
I do, however, have a spare A727 Chrysler Torqueflite in my garage. Hmmm...

Let's assume you could make a FWD car RWD and it cost $10K. You'd have a car worth less than it's true original issue value because it's been hacked-up. Not only would you have no power train warranty, no dealer would touch the car with a ten foot pole. Wouldn't it be easier to find a desirable high-performance car that's already RWD?
