RSX-S vs Lexus...RX 350

funniest story ever! i swear i almost crashed because i was laughing so hard! going down i-5 s at around 11 pm, i see a nice little rsx-s, fully a-spec'ed, cruising down the freeway. i admired it, although i'm sure the guy didn't really see me through the 15% tint . anyways, we hit a bit of traffic, and i see a clearing on the very right hand lane, and i promptly move over. i see this "cute" little rsx immediately follow. this kewl kid...rides my bumper for about a minute , hence i slowly sped up. i guess from that point on he thought i was trying to get a go . kid down shifts and gets in two lanes left of me. i hammer it, side by side, and i pull by a car and a half to my surprise. :sigh: made my night i think i would've put more distance between the two of us if we'd continued going, but the roads were starting to curve a tad, and well...it's a darn rx350 suv . anyways, just thought i'd share!

...i'm impressed by the darn car; this entire time i thought it was slow as freak (why shouldn't it be...look @ what it is...)! not bad...not bad at all lol

lol dude man that GR engine in your RX is pretty good. In a Camry it's good enough for 14.3@99mph. In a RX, I would imagine 15@94mph is reasonable....so..depending on how good the RSX driver is, it could be a close race..lol.

The LS & RX can move for what they are.. The hwy setup reminds me of every redneck yokel here in TX with a Ford/Chevy/Dodge Truck with bullguard that I pass who assumes I've challenged them and redlines their 3ton POS past me. I'm guessing the RSX driver probably didn't have his heart in it once you gunned it past him otherwise he has a +300 lb system dragging ass.. lol.. Don't post this thread in the RSX side.. you'll get challenged & flamed.. lol.

Or you simply stunned him with the soccer-mom-SUV. Beside the bland/boaty designs, Toyota/Lexus do have some sleepers.

yeah.. the RX is designed from a sedan chassis.. its true classification should be a wagon. I own a RX300 and it has umphh... so I can only imagine the 3.5L variant. I would be weary of an IS300 and SC300. There are some real turbo sleepers.. there's a few out here.

Here's an oldie but goodie:
