The RR Journals: Berber mats - a hit
I got my Berber mats for the TL today - they are 42 oz nylon woven in a Berber style, so they are soft yet rugged, and likely to stand up to dirt and other gremlins better than the stock mats. Since I have a Camel interior, I got the tan - the color is a good but not perfect match, but they look very good in the car. The match to the TL is better than the picture suggested it would be.
They were $120 - less than the price in JC Whitney. The ad said they would take 2-3 weeks, but I had them in a few days - gues it pays to have a popular car!
For the record, I had returned some WeatherTech mats, as they were a poor color match (much darker than pictured) and smelled, felt, and looked cheesy. Good for SUV's and if one lived in Scotland or Alaska I suppose. And they cannot match the English Wilton wool ones I got for the S2000 (black with red LEATHER edging), but those were three times the price, for two.
They have rubber anti-slip backing, and yes, the driver's mat has edged cutouts for the stabilizer hooks. No TL nomenclature.
I treated mine with Stoner Fabrotex.

I hate our floor mats. Mine seem to move all over the place. The drive side is fine becaue the are hooked. But all the other seem to float all over the floor.

Road Can you take a digital pic of them in the car I would really like to see them as well as alot of other people in here. I am sure with the lighter interior I am getting the Parchment interior.

If they're darker, they are probably way too dark for Parchment.

After 2 weeks, they are holding up fine. After 2 weeks on the OE mats, they were al;ready showing dirt and wear fizz.
By the way, the Berber really responds well to soil treatments, like Scotchguard or my preference, Stoner Fabrotek. With all the hurricane rain, my shoes were quite wet, and the water actually beaded on the Berber, and I was able to blot it with a napkin.
