How high of rpm's does the TL go if you are in second gear and going about 40 miles an hour

 

on MT little over 4500 i think it was

 

how about on the sport shift for the automatic

 

You can check for yourself. Even though you are still in the breakin period it won't hurt the engine to go up to 40mph in SS 2nd gear.

You can actually start out in 2nd gear by moving the lever while you are stopped to 2nd, or just start out slowly and it will shift to second at low rpm's.

 

Just shift the poor car man. At 40mph you should be cruising in 5th atleast.
