RonJon Needs a TL to test fit "Vega" Prototype Wheel!!! ASAP!

Ok, I need a 6 speed TL with brembo calipers ooooor any TL-S to test fit the new Vega wheel prototype we have here so I can give production the thumbs up. I'm in Yonkers, and I can meet with someone local tonight preferably. Since the dealership doesn't have any TLs in stock, this is what I need to do.

So call the number in my sig and help me if you can.

A plus would be if anybody had a 235/35/19 tire layin around too, but thats not the main issue.

BTW, here's the wheel I'm talking about:

Gun metal grey with diamond cut machined face and clearcoat. The cap is aluminum, not plastic.

Nobody in the tri-state area can swing by? Whoever can make it gets $100 off any set of wheels they want. I really need to test fit these asap, even at night, tonight.

I don't have any 235/35/19 tires either

Hah, that was fun man, guys, good looking out, really appreciated!!

Keep in mind, production Gun Metal will be slightly darker paint, and the centercap will be a slightly different design.
Also, this prototype centercap didn't have clearcoat, so it looks different than the rest of the wheel, but obviously, production will be a perfect match.

here's some crappy quick pics to get an idea:

What do you expect the weight of the wheels to be? Will you offer an 18" option?

I weighed the prototype and it was about 25.x lbs. We will not offer an 18" option at this moment, but it may be a possibility in the near future if demand is strong enough.

Put me down as a vote for the 18". Do you think you'll have the liquid silver as an option or only the gun metal?

25lbs for a 19" wheel is actually not bad at all. Usually when you go up in wheel size the more it weighs. The fact that these weigh the same as stock wheels is very good.

That wheels needs more concavity and people will jump on that sh!t like hotcakes.

http://i479.photobucket.com/albums/r...c/IMG_6495.jpg

^THAT NEEDS the silver/gunmetal centercaps (as shown in the first picture) instead of the black/red ones. It sticks out like Megan Fox's thumbnail.

hard to do concavity when u have to have brembo fitment. so he would either need lower offsets of to bulge the wheel out and then back in

well I'm saying have some lower offsets to get the concavity. of course don't make it epic concave when it's like 18x7.5 +45. rofl, dur.

These wheels looks like the ones I want to get for my 1G TL.

They really look aggressive.

Good job Ron.

the only way to make those wheels concave is to literally make the backside of the spokes flat so it don't rub brembo... that means by by structural integrity rofl

pretty nice looking wheel... does it comes in 15x8 rofl

Ok, I need one more test fit to decide the offset between 38mm, 40mm or 43mm. I am trying to see if the 43mm will clear the brembos, so anybody with an 07-08 TL-S or an 04-06 6 speed, please let me know if you can come by for a quick test fit of one wheel. Obviously, if interested, I can hook you up on a sweet deal on any wheel you liek that we carry. Call me, (914) 557-8132!
