As promised, got my dash-topper brand dash topper, did sedona suede in black. Initially, thought it felt flimsy right out of the box...but in hindsight this is probably so it doesn't look like you have a huge rug on your dash. After install I have to say that I'm absolutely super happy with it and the idea of dash replacement and cracks on dash is gone from my mind. I'm fine with this. Even my fiance says she thinks it looks great and she was against this.
Put it on my dash for a day without velcro just for fitment.

Tweaked a bit, rubbed down with ipa in areas where i was going to velcro. I used some industrial white home depot velcro. You only use the hook side of it...so makes it easy to make adjustments. Install took me an hour but was very easy. Also, I don't like advertisements on my dash so tag came off...it ripped the stitching, but I can fix that even though you don't see it.

Marked my tweets with china pencil and cut out an X, forced tweets in sideways and cut the x bigger and bigger till it sat flush.

AND here is the end result! SUPER HAPPY!

^^^Good question.
It was $80 shipped from www.dash-topper.com
I picked Sedona Suede in black.
Reason I went with this one is because they institch the airbag seam so there is no "flap" or visible stitching that shows you where the airbag is, BUT, since it's held on with some velcro etc and has the hidden seem, it would not hinder airbag deployment in the event of an accident.

^^^Thanks guys and GP16.
Took an hour cause I took my time and decided to do the tweeters. It was semi tedious but the velcro makes thing easy!

In the initial pic, the part around the clock/climate control looks flimsy and wavy. How did you fix that to be straight and fit well like you did?? All in all, it looks great! My crack is up to about 3-4" now and it's just to the left of the center speaker so it's an eyesore. Ugh. Might have to jump on this as it looks classy and not so huge and bulky like most I've seen.
Also, how you liking the RK6's lately??

Still happy with em, buddy! I am trying not to be any more of an audiophile so I'm totally satisfied with the level I'm at right now.
In the initial 2 pics...I threw the topper on the dash and drove it to work that way, no velcro at all...just wanted it to get acclimated and to sit in the sun to kinda "form" to the dash shape. THe following pictures were all after I put little 1" strips of velcro in many, many various strategic points. I paid MOST attention to doing the velcros last up front so I could make sure it sat super tight and then I could rearrange to make it stay in place and look tight accordingly.

I'm taking my dash in next week to have Acura look at it. I told the service adviser that I heard sometimes Acura will cover part of the new dash and asked how do they determine how much they cover. He said they look at how much you've had the car serviced with Acura to determine the amount they cover. I thought that seemed odd.

It's not ODD, it's WRONG. I guess it's a customer appreciation perspective...but that is coming from the dealership, not the Acura corporate guy.
Acura corporate wants to have a happy Acura customer, I'm sure they press the dealership to get as much cash up front to get the repair done but like I mentioned in another thread...the guy kept saying he'd rather have acura pay than me...so what was keeping him from asking them for 75% instead of 50?
Someone on here recently said they got it for $350 out of pocket. So that's 25% ish. Meaning, it's possible.
