Rocker panels

Is anyone else finding that their rocker panels (the painted skirts under the doors) are getting chewed up?

I'll post pics of mine later tonight. I think some of the chips/marks/scratches on mine must be from my shoes. I've looked into it before and they are kind of expensive to replace.

Just wondering if anyone else is having a problem.

I found black marks on my WDP from my wife's shoes. Cleaned up easily and I asked her to be carefull, so far no more marks. Even found one on my side so I asked me to be careful. Guess it must be the way they are designed, or the width of the door sill or something like that. Haven't found any chips or scratches though.

Mine aren't damages but tend to get much more dirty than the rest of the car. (Seems like they get dirty "faster.")

I don't yell at my passengers, but as for me on my side, I am very careful when getting in and out and that seems to be working.

mine aren't damaged, but are poorly aligned, the gap under the B-Pillar is both large, and different sized on both sizes, versus other's I've seen at the squealer, errrr, dealer.

I notice that the rocker panel on the front passenger side is a bit cleaner than the rest of it, probably because the GF is short and her pants must rub against it. I've heard her shoes knock against it (usually when she is trying to reach the door to close it), but I haven't noticed any marks yet....and telling her to be more careful has not gotten me anywhere.

I always seem to hit the sideskirts w/ my feet when I get in my car. The one thing I can't stand is that usually, when it snows, I like to kick the excess snow off my feet on the sideskirts... but i can't do that w/ these b/c it'll loosen the installation.

Oh well, the 'spec kit still looks damn good!

I had the same problem, the solution may be simple:

You need to really crank on both sides from the rear wheel well and the front wheel well until you hear a click .. then they'll come together better. Then, you can drill a hole under the car into the side skirts and screw in a galvanized bolt (or a plastic dowel if you can find one at the hardware store). This will keep them close to each other .. easy fix, it works great.

I have a problem with hitting it occasionally with my shoes (usually my left leg) as I get into the car but I've been careful to lift my leg higher up as I'm hopping in and that usually takes care of the problem.

I have a few scuff marks on my side skirts. Now I'm just more careful while getting in & out of my car.
