Rock Magnet

Does anyone else find that the TL is a rock magnet? I've owned mine for 8 months now and just over the last 2 weeks I have already filled in about 6 rock chips in my windshield

I have a very small one too - and I don't even have 700 miles on the car yet! Oh well, I will consider it a beauty mark.

Same here. I just try to avoid driving behind big trucks, suvs, vans, and semis.

This latest one was unbelievable too. This jeep decides he wants to exit the freeway, but at the last second, he pulls it back across a large pile of gravel and other nasty road debris, shooting a steady stream straight at my poor baby, making a nice big one right in my line of sight. Thank you sir, really appreciated that.

My TL has a lot of rock chips already with only 3000 miles on her. Should of got clear bra but its too late.

If you turn off the radio/cd and close all windows so its as quiet as can be in the cabin while on the freeway, you can hear the rock hit the car constantly.....

Spring here usually brings the worst possible things for a car. Slushy, salt filled, nasty ass snow, along with about an average of 400 rocks hitting some part of the car at any given moment. Summer in Edmonton though, probably the best driving conditions you can get.

Timely topic; I just caught a major rock just above the grill yesterday. Not only do I have a paint chip, but an actual dimple in the sheet metal.

I've seen a lot of talk about the 3M Clear Bra, but have yet to find anyone who installs them in the Banana Republic they call New Orleans.

Until I do, I'll just keep collecting paint chips.
