Rock Ding in Door
I have a small dent from a rock in the passenger door, about the size of a quarter. It's my first flaw in 2-1/2 years and it's the only thing I can see when I look at my car now.
I brought my car in for maintenance last week and they told me for $160 they could fix it with a paintless dent removal procedure. Do you think this is a fair price?

down here in Fl, my dealership charges 70 dollars per dent that can be removed via paintless. What is the place you are going to? The place that the dealerships use here is called dentwizard.

I've heard of Dentwizard. My Mom is one of their best customers.
I got the quote from my Acura dealer. When I was there for maintenance he mentioned they have a roving dent guy who works for all the Acura dealers. The $160 quote is per panel, so they'll remove as many dents as you have on each section of your car for a flat fee (I only have that one).

Wait until you have some more.
Seriously, though, I've seen some good results and some not so good. Be careful. Someone I know had a small ding removed. The ding is gone but the paint in that area looks like someone buffed it really hard with rubbing compound. All hazy and wierd looking.
I think the color of the car may affect the results.

NYC is obviously more expensive on PDR than TX....
I've had Dent-magic etc. come to my house twice to repair my wife's Suburban. Flat rate for the first dent was $55 and about $30 per dent after that on average. I paid $170 or so the last time out and he fixed small dings in 3 doors and one in the rear quarter.
The $160 your dealer is charging most definitely has "their" markup included...
