RL BBK project almost ready to go. Need that bracket though.
No one (but that is drive with a type-s motor, and a 6 speed conversion and soon to be fully built 3.7 ) I was just looking at the other Acura vehicles looking for a larger MC bore size , though it might explain why ive always had great braking

A larger rear brake kit "could" be benificial from a bias stand point. But the major problem in adapting a brembo 2 or 4 piston caliper would be the thickness of the rear rotors. All cars with rear brembos have ventilated rear rotors. These are over twice as thick (9mm vs 20mm). Try to adapt that to a solid disc Honda rotor and you might just drop the pads out of the caliper as they wear down.
So then you might think, lets step to a ventilated rear rotor. Again now the theory of performance comes into play. A vented rotor is gonna be a bit heavier. And as we all know, un-sprung rotating mass is the ultimate enemy of performance. Plus, the rear brakes do so little work on a FWD, it's kinda pointless to begin with.
Honestly, I would still like to see someone put in the effort to put STI rear calipers onto one of these. BTW: The 04-08 Sti caliper is really the best option. The piston is slightly smaller than the TL's rear piston, which makes the prospect of a larger rear rotor more practical.
04-08 TL Rear caliper & Rotor

04-07 STI rear caliper & Rotor

Interestingly, the 2G CRV has a rotor roughly the same diameter as the STI, with the same hub-register, bolt patern and similar install height as the TL. Perhaps if the internal drum is the same diameter as the TL (170mm), these might work on the TL with caliper adapter bracket.

Wonder if we can get the 350Z Track rear rotor to work with the STI caliper or 350z rear caliper? Though this is a 14" rotor, which if were to be used i would use the 14" front
It doesnt show the Genesis Coupe with brembos with the Drum in Hub which is a 330mm dia with 20/18mm thickness but it is, Looks like the Equus might too

RL BBK on 6th gen accord
Wassup this message is for Nva-Av6. My names Eddie, and my email is hcord87@gmail.com. i love the rl bbk upgrade. i just bought the calipers, but obviously need the custom bracket for fitment. I heard you make the best brackets for the setup. I want to purchase the brackets ASAP. Can u please contact me via email again at hcord87@gmail.com. Im a new member so this is the only way to contact you for now. Alright thanks hope to hear u soon. P.S. does anyone know NVA-AV6s direct email? thanks

I am officially confused....
So is the RL BBK worth it? Is the legend 2 piston caliper worth considering instead?
Will either mess the brake bias?
Will either mess the pedal feel?
Will either increase the stopping distance?
Should we just dump both the ideas and looking into XLR8 Stoptech BBK?

Well looks like my front pads are already worn so they'll need to be replaced soon. Rear pads are in good shape. With the concern of brake bias coming into play.. should I go with less aggressive pads up front? I have EBC RedStuff pads all around.
I'd very much enjoy your option as well as poorboy's on these calipers. Does the car stop any less than it did before?
Did one of you measure your stopping distances before swapping?

I did not measure the stopping distance. To be completely honest I do feel the car does stop better than before. Significantly better? No. But then again I don't track my car so I haven't used these to its full potential.
I didn't know much about brake bias until I read this thread. But now I'd like to at least try to get the brake bias back to normal as much as I can with this setup.
