RJ kit and A-Spec kit.......
RJ kit and A-Spec kit.......
I was curious, is there a clearance difference from the ground to the kit between these two kits? I understand when lowering the car it makes a difference also but was wondering about the kit alone. The reason I ask is b/c where I live, I have underground parking (fits 3 cars) so I have to go down a short semi steep ramp to park. I was just worried about the front end possibly scraping the bottom when entering or leaving.
Thanks for any help.

The plastic disfuser that is on the OEm bumper is still used on our bumper, so that scrapes first. our bumper is 1.5" lower than the A-Spec lip, and it has a slight slope from the front to the wheel to provide clearance. I would say it is just right now, not too low, but def doable with a drop.
Here is a ground level shot to show the clearance:

I have the ron Jon kit and I would not worry about ground clearance. the black one above is my car and never have a problem with scrapping. I have a fairly steep driveway and I never scrape. I also go into an underground garage for work which has those slopes that you are talking about. My car also has about the most drop that you can put on a TL with out rubbing. You might be able to go more but it doesnt look right. anyway to get to the point, I would not worry about scraping so much because if your not careful you can scrape with a drop on a stock front end.
As for the A-Spec kit.. I parked our car next to a car similar one to ours (same color) and I thought I was going to see a difference in clearance and sure enough it was the exact same! I was surprised that the kit did not lower it at all. It must all be human eye perception. Our car and the car next to us both cleared the parking stop bump (parked).
