Rim stolen north of Boston!

Rim stolen north of Boston!
Friday after work I went out for a couple drinks with some co workers. I work in Danvers and we went to the Sylvan Street Grill. At about 7 oclock on clear day, with plenty of sunlight, in the middle of the busy parking lot, someone jacked my car up and stole the drivers side rear rim, tire, and lugs! While I stood there for an hour waiting for the police I asked anyone walking out of the restraunt if they had seen someone doing anything to my car (its a black 2006 6 speed btw) only 2 people saw anything and they both said they saw the car jacked up with no one around it with the wheel still on the car and just figured it was a flat. No one I asked could believe that my rim was actually stolen they thought I was joking or that someone was playing a practical joke on me. Well after spending 776 dollars on a new wheel, tire and TPMS sensor I'll tell you its no joke. Anyone in the area Id suggest getting wheel locks. Its bizzare why anyone would steal 1 acura rim. They used a nissan jack to lift my car up. For those that dont know its a pretty nice area Acura dealer BMW dealer Audi Dealer and even a Lamborghini dealer all with in a quater mile of where I was.

yup stock 17's what a rip off I was tempted to just get some 19" TSW Thruxtons but I couldnt limp around with the donut waiting for them to get here. I just went and got it taken care of in the morning. the 776 included the TPMS sensor wheel locks mounting and balancing.

no the car didnt come with wheel locks. I just bought some today. I wish I had time to shop around for price but they stole my lugs too so I had to take 1 off each of the other wheels and limp around with 3 lugs on teh donut and one missing off the other 3 wheels. Just went right to the dealer and forked over the money

See there's your problem. Peabody (Sylvan Street Grille is in Peabody). That town has really turned to shit. Although that giant pink elephant on 114 always seemed so inviting. J/K. Thats messed up, only one rim? and whats worse you got rapped on a replacement.

some kid probably scratched his mom or dad's rim up and stole one off your car to fix his f'up. first acura in seekonk sells all of their cars with wheel locks on them, it is included in the sticker.

I'll be on the lookout for a Maxima or Altima with 1 Acura 17 rim for you. J/K. Seriously though, I'm glad I have wheel locks. Although, if they could do it in plain daylight, they wouldn't have a problem with the wheel locks either. I'm guessing the guy is a pro and was very quick since no one saw him.

wow, over 3000 for a full set of 17s from the dealer...
crazy
you can get a set of nice 19" volks and tires for less than that.
I would have surfed the black market first...you can probably buy a full set for 500 or so. I guess it wouldnt hurt to have spares.
sorry that had to happen to you.

OEM wheels no matter what car are very high priced. Best thing to do when you have damaged wheels or stolen wheels is to buy a new set of aftermarket wheels.
If it makes you feel any better the stock 350Z wheels for the track model run just under $2K
each
wheel only, no tire, no tps.

Damn, $776 for a new STOCK tire and wheel? I have to agree with the others, you were taken by your dealer. Next time you need to replace a part, COME HERE FIRST so we can tell you where to get that stuff cheaper.
We hate to see a member raped twice....first by the thief, then by the dealer.....
....and dealers are not liable for not putting on wheel locks. Might I suggest the Gorilla wheel locks, which are a bit less common than the stardard Acura locks (McGuard is the brand? I forget). I have the combo lug/lock on every bolt. Won't keep a pro from getting my wheels, but it will add to his/her time stealing them, and should keep the amateurs off them period.
