Unhappy Rim Scratch

Got home from work and noticed I had a nice rough spot (scrape)on the edge of my rim. Best I can tell must be from one of the local car washes that pull the car thru. The wheel edge is about even with the tire, not a lot of protection there.
Unless, it happened when my wife borrowed the car????
I guess I will just live with the rim, imagine those rims are expensive.

Just fix the rim. Do a search under the username SPUD and this guy had his fixed like new for $75 or something.

My boss has a S55 AMG and messed up one of his real bad. Took it to a Mr. Wheel and it was like new for $50 later.

Those places are out there that will recondition like new...it's amazing.

Thumbs up Re: Rim Scratch...

I agree. When seeing SPUD's case in Dec, I've been fully surprised how good it could be done...

Thanks, will give it a try. Anybody know of any wheel shops in the Kansas City - Lawrence area?

Look I had my 04 wheels marked up on a curb and used old silver touch up paint to mask it. Applied in 5 or six coats and cleaning real well is how I did it. No one will tell except the guy changing your tire. Color I used was the Acura Silver used on MDX-
A cheap but effective 98% solution.
