Are you thinking about buying or leasing?
If you are buying with cash (all money up-front) then you can qualify for the $1500 rebate I took. Otherwise, they have some good financing deals available now aswell.
Now what you could also do is get a loan elsewhere (ofcourse at a higher %) but then also be able to take the $1500 incentive. You will have to do the math on this one to see if you will end up saving or losing. I can make you an Excel spreadsheet that computes that for you.
Now as for the price:
Lets say you get the car for $32,000 + taxes and titling fees
- $3000 down
+ 5% MD taxes
+ 4.99 special financing rate now for 60/mos
= ~ 577.31 monthly payment
Now don't forget, every thousand dolards added or subtracted from the total price of the vehicle is about a $20 fluctuation in the monthly payment.
On the other hand, you can lease a 2007 now for $379 a month or a 2008 for $399... that just maybe another option for you.
OR
You could just go with a used one.
i just bought my 07 type s for $34,138 plus ttl. i could have had a non-navi tl for $30,500, so the deals for 07's are out there (both prices include the $1500 dealer incentive - i didn't need financing).
g-luck!

I'm helping my friend to buy a TL Type-s (auto), several So Calif dealers quoted us $33,000 (includes destination) for a Type-S; now that's a real bargain 'coz last year I paid close to $33,000 for a TL Navi

^ FYI...Southern Calif Acura Dealers are very competitive...my friend and I have been to several dealers and they have a lot of Type-S sitting on the lot...so yeah they're very desperate to unload the '07 S IMO...kinda jealous myself hehehe I could be driving a Type-S

I have a friend whos looking to buy a 07 type s with navi. What would yall think would be a good deal for that model? Should he wait till the 08 comes out to buy the 07 or would now be the right time?

coykiam,
i got my type s @island acura via internet sales (ask for jody nackerson). i believe they may have one more type s left. also, rallye acura was willing to come to $34,138 (including the dealer incentive) but they were giving me less for my trade.
g/luck!

This is a topic near and dear to my heart - I'm in the same boat!
I'm in no great rush to buy anything, but I am seeing those same deals on the '07 TL with Nav right now, and also worry that the '08 may introduce some crappy style change that would make me regret not going with the '07. Does anyone know what has changed on the '08? The Acura site is not the easiest to navigate (can't find the new paint selections page, for example, even though I was there a few days ago)
As an example of the types of changes I'm wondering about, these are the changes I noticed in the '07 compared to the '04/05:
I'm not thrilled with the 'dirty brown' fake wood in ALL TLs for '07 - whether black, gray, or parchment (no more light wood in gray/parchment, and black trim in black interior).
I'm also not thrilled with the non-NAV's center console in '07 - though it wasn't very pretty in '04/05 either (looks like they could not decide what to put there)

The '07 did introduce the 'AUX' jack, which means you can play your iPod/MP3 without an interface box. The '07 also has (in my opinion) a much nicer instrument cluster compard to the '04/05 - speedometer, etc.

wow...yea i got an internet quote from them last year regarding my 06 and Island Acura was 1000 less, but rallye matched it. I ended up getting it from rallye since the salesman was so welcoming and not pushy (Patrick Lai) also heard good things about Rallye's service and its closer to my house. Grrrr....all these lowered type-s prices are making me itch to get it..i still have 4300 miles in my 06 and almost a year now. Im still debating whether to wait for the 09 and see how it is. Thanks for the reply.
coykiam,
give me a holler if you'd like to take mine for a spin - i'm on the south shore (oceanside) just off of sunrise highway. i'm sure your '06 will get you a nice trade-in price.
regards,
vinny
