ride with 18s

ok I have been *****ing about getting the 18s because I keep thinking that they will mess up the ride. so now of course I find some great looking rims and they actually fit the tl [tsw slot 18*8 5-144.3 35mm offset] chrome for the summer and I need to know if they make the ride harsher with the stock suspension setup or is it just a small percentage rougher. ride is important to me and with the stock 17s the tl already doesnt like broken or even wavy pavement in my opinion.

Go big or go home

No, but seriously, I've owned over a dozen sets of rims ranging from 14 to 20. Going from 17 to 18 inch won't make that much of a difference.

I switched and noticed some difference, but not huge. I put 245/40/18 on to get a little more rubber between the wheel and the road.

There is definately a difference; I got the SSR GT-1 18x8 48 mm with 245/40/18 Goodyear Eagle F1GS-D3 and there is a difference.
A good difference for me, very responsive, quiet and great handling. But very firm ride.
I don't think you can fit the 35 mm I think you will get rubbing even without dropping the car.
