Hey guys....I don't race my car..but today....a guy in a Black Mustang GT pulled up to me at a red light..and obviously wanted to have a little race....so..WTF...I gave it a shot...and I'm just not used to racing....so I kept revving the engine and hit the limiter in both first and second gear....and the Mustang guy pulled away from me in second gear...but when I hit third gear...I was pulling away from him by about one car length....and I dunno if he backed off or what...but I could have walked away from him but he seemed to just keep back at that point...sorry guys!!!......I should have watched the tach...but hey....it was my first race...and probably my last!!! I just don't like to race my car...much less get caught by the cops!! But .....next time..if it happens...I'll watch the tach!!

 

Actually - That may be good for us. Next time he will think he can take a TL because he almost did this time. Drive cleaner and you'll remove all doubt. It's better to keep 'em guessing. I "played" with a hopped-up firebird this way one time in my old car. Played with the pedal just enough so that he thought he would be able to keep up. We got to a light and he signaled. I left him sitting. In about 3 miles we got to another light and he was pretty cool with a thumbs up. But he was like "What have you got in that thing"? Next day a porsche shows up on the same road looking for a race. This one was a lot closer but in the end the ///AMG came out ahead as well. Turns out they were buddies and the firebird guy sent him looking for me. Good thing I was only in town for 3 days otherwise who knows how many wanna-bes would have been showing up each day. BTW - I normally didn't run the CLK that hard but every once in a while it was sure fun!
