Thank you 303....

Just wanted to thank the people that suggested the 303 Aerospace cleaner/protector.
I never heard of it before, like Zaino.
I also suffered from drying out on my Ebony dash. I put it on this morning. It was like the Zaino effect for the interior.
It worked great. No smell and no grease.
Thanks again.
Michael

Yes, 303 is great stuff.

P.S. My name is not Road Rage - it is Friedrich Dreizeddrei, and you are quite welcome.

I have also tried the Meguiars NXT protectant. The do have to do a dry cloth wipe down after the initial application to remove the "oily" stuff. It does restore the dash. I still have to compare it with the 303.

You should favor those ppl with the Reputation Points...

Give them your "Approval" and write something good to them. They deserve it.

I googled "Dreizeddrei" and didn't come up with anything until I hit the translate button and "303" came up. Whoda thunk? But still nothing on Friedrich.

Cool! Once it dried, did it return to an original 'matte rubber' type finish? Or has it changed to something else that's uniform, but, still something other than the stock finish?

TIA

On my Quartz interior, there was a slight sheen for about 5 minutes after putting it on. By the next morning it looked just like when I took delivery. Very pleased!

Good sluething, Ron A - I have a Kraut (oops, German-American) heritage, and some Alsatian, but I lean towards the Teutonic when i was searching for a way to be Mr. 303.

I just like the name Fred - it is funny.

Like the "J" in cartoon caharcters' middle names - it is just a funny onvention. Homer J Simpson. Elmer J Fudd/ O J Simpson.

It seems we have the same heritage. When people ask me what an Alsatian is I just tell them it's a German, only with decent manners.

When they ask where the country is I tell them it's a small country located between France and Germany.

That is a good one - I thin kant said that Germans are what you get when you mix Christianity and barbarism - maybe our comments are saying the same thing?

I tell peeps an Alsatian is a dog.

My Great-Uncle was Alsatian, and fought for both armies in WWI!!!!. He considered himself French, and when hostilities in Europe broke out, he enlisted (at 17) in the French Army - in an early battle, he survived the Hell that was No-Man's Land in that war, was captured by the Germans, who declared him "re-patriated" and put him in a German uniform, and sent him off to fight his neighbors, and brothers! Crazy! It would have been like being from the South (my Family came to Savannah from Bavaria in 1803), fighting for the Confederacy, being captured, and "re-patriated to the Yankees. Of course, we know that is some states, brothers did fight against brothers. The Civil War was a great tragedy and a great resolver, at the same time.

The first opportunity he got, he said "F this" and deserted, finishing the last year of the War pretending to be a dumb-mute, and working as a farm-hand several miles from his home in Alsace-Lorraine. I never disrespected him at all for what he did, as it made more sense than the situation he was in. True story.

It looks great..
It went back to what appears to be the original finish.
It's even better looking than when I picked up the car.
After a few days now, it looks the same as when I put the 303 on.
Great stuff again.

Sounds like the right stuff. Looked for it at Pep Boys--not your high-end dealer exactly--none there. Where to buy in L.A. area?

Yea, what specifically 303 are we referring to? Like the stuff you get at the grocery store in white bottle w/ purple numbers on it or the stuff mentioned above? Which I think is the same stuff as this website, http://store.auto-geek.net/303cleanspot.html

What specifically out of the 303 products did you use? The convertible top cleaner, fabric cleaner, cleaner and spot remover etc. There are several products that are cleaners, thanks. http://www.303products.com/main.php?infopage=products

The link is for the PROTECTANT....
That's what I used. I think it's the only one labeled for use on vinyl.

That is correct. The S2000 top is PVC, and although they have a special cleaner for it, the protectant is the same 303 Aerospace protctant used for vinyl, dashes, and tires. I hate the greasy wet look on tireds - 303 = natural matte finish.

Oddly enough, I've only found it at Marine Supply stores. In my area "Aqua Quip", which is a pool / marine specialty store. So in this case, they consider it boat / pool part protectant; but it does wonders on a car (and is labeled for use as such.)
