Resetting ECU makes me happy :)

I just gave this a shot...and it works!!!!
I've only had my TL for about two months and it would go under full throttle. Like others said this turns off Granny mode and wow the car goes with just a little throttle when before I would have to give it full.
Here's my two cents for the OP
Thanks man!

Nice offer, I'd like to see the outcome...for a fully functional 4" intake, $200 or so shipped isn't too bad. I though the TB was the limiting factor on how much air was coming in anyway though...at a point larger than the TB where you're not bottlenecking anymore, would it matter?

I think I did this on accident a few days ago while detailing the inside of my car lol... I'm not sure how I could have done these exact steps on accident so don't ask... but I drove to the gas station when I was done and my car was all of a sudden very touchy on the gas pedal. Pretty cool. Maybe I'm just imagining things... I'm going to try this tomorrow.

Not really too sure how to post video on here so hopefully something above shows a link at least.

turn everything off (ac, radio etc) and turn off car .. press the gas and turn car to the "ON" position (dont turn it on) .. wait 30 seconds and turn the key off and take your foot off the pedal. start your car and haul ass.

Even if this did "reset" your ecu, it would still have to do idle learn. I've never heard of this method. I believe most of these people are feeling that butt dyno effect. Like putting in octane booster. What ever helps you sleep at night

Definitly gonna try this tonight when i get off work; I always thought maybe the car needed a tune-up or something since I bought it but maybe this will be the fix I need.

is this a TL thing only or all Hondas?

Lately in the last 6 weeks or so, I felt the car didn't have its "go" like I did when I first purchased it. It was so bad that contemplating repacing the spark plugs, it has about 90,000km on. I was skeptical at first trying this, and now it feels a lot more responsive, and it has its "go" again. It's a fun a car again!

I love this car
I will have to try this later tonight when i find some reason to go for another drive.. i would rather listen to the 50 plus that have done this in their 3rd gen TL than the 2 or 3 that doubt it.. hell if it works then great if not then great.. Did i mention that i love this car..

Did this 2 days ago i just bought the car like 2 weeks ago. I really thought tl's were a bit more responsive being a newer car i was dissapointed but i read this went out and definitely feel the difference.

It almost looks like the TL-S models do not usually need it or the difference is slight.. i did try this last night and didn't notice that much difference, but after driving around a few times, (cruising with a lot of turbo cars) it did feel a little better.. I think it surprised them more than me.. or maybe a little. will try it again when i take the fam out for lunch.

Key in to position 2, turn off radio and AC, take key out, put it back in to position 2 and hold the gas pedal for 30 secs and take out the key.. I don't feel a difference... I'm on a 2007 TL type s

This is my method, and it works every time. I do this after filling up.
- Get in the car, and turn the key to 'ON'
- Wait 2 seconds, then take the key out of the ignition.
- Press on the accelerator pedal
- While still pressed on the pedal, put the key in, and turn to on.
- Leave the pedal pressed for 20-30 seconds
- Take the key out, but still keeping the pedal pressed down
- Wait 2 seconds, then start the car up.
