Resell value

For those of you that have owned previous TL and are considering buying the new TL, aren't you concerned about the resell value of the TL?

It seems TLs have low resell value judging by some of the posts I've read about people trying to trade their cars in for the new TL. Maybe it's because everyone knows about all the problems that the TLs have and also maybe because alot of people are selling them. Aren't you concerned that even the Acura dealers aren't willing to give you any thing for them even when you are trading them in for another Acura?

I can't speak from personal resale experience, but edmunds.com puts the last gen TL in their top 10 list for best resale value:

http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/list/...8/article.html

1. BMW Z8 — 45.86%
2. Mercedes-Benz CLK — 45.96%
3. Mini Cooper — 46.68%
4. Porsche 911 — 46.91%
5. Porsche Boxster — 47.42%
6. Lexus SC 430 — 47.49%
7. Acura TL — 47.68%
8. Honda S2000 — 47.93%
9. Dodge Viper — 48.00%
10. Lexus GS 300 — 48.34%

Also, by looking at this top 10 list, the TL is really the 1st vehicle listed that is a practicle car to have - all the rest are basically 2-seater sports cars, or the tiny Mini. Beyond the TL, the GS 300 is the only other really practicle car in the list unless you are single, don't need much room, and want a sports coupe. One more comment - aside from the Mini, the TL & S2000 are by *far* the least expensive in the list, coming in about $15K (CDN) less than the closer competitor (the GS 300 I think). Interesting indeed...
