Does TL has good resell value?What's the fair asking price for 2000TL with37km,w/o nav?Thanks guys

 

I just bought a 2000 TL w/nav and 37k miles for 23500, mint condition. I was looking for about a month and thats the best deal I got, its certified by acura too.

I recently posted the same topic of my 00 with 29000km on it. In Vancouver area, something similar at dealers asking for $32k or $33k, and they would offer you maybe $29k or less for your car. Privately, you can sell for perhaps $30k, even then. No way you can ask for $35k as a new 02 costs just a lil over $36k. Also, you can't convert from US prices to Canadian prices as the pricing structure is not the same at all. If you convert Canadian prices to US prices, the cars actually come out much lower in US prices, than what Amercicans can actually get in the US for the same new car.

I paid CDN$33500 for a new 2000 TL 3.2 in November 2000. (PCVTEC got a good deal in Mississauga!)

I had checked all six Acura dealerships in the Montreal area and 33.5K was the best deal for a Laguna TL. They were willing to let the Silver and Gold versions go for a 200-300 bucks less. They were all out of Black.

TLs are popular in Montreal (well, anything that's Honda/Acura has a great rep in Quebec) and I think you could get at least $30K in a private sale ... or better (assuming the car is in tip-top shape and no record of accidents). Check out the used TLs at dealers (there's one right next to Luciana Acura) to get an idea of what they go for in Montreal.

BTW, I sold my last three cars in private sales and made more money than if I traded them in.

 

By default, you usually do, dealers screw you on trade-in.
