Replacing Steering Wheel
Replacing Steering Wheel
So the leather portion of my steering wheel of my 2004 TL is
starting to get fairly warn through. Despite using lots of leather
conditioner and 303 on it (works well), I think the oils and acidity
of my hands have done a number on it after 3 years.
If I wanted to replace the steering wheel with the same, what
would be a good way to do this (dealer, body shop, etc.?)
I know there is a wood steering wheel replacement, but I'd
want the same thing. Any clue what this would cost to get done?
I really wish I had a rubberized steering wheel like in my wife's VW!

why not try and get it replaced under warranty?
you can also try contacting Tim at hondaacuraworld.

because of the optional wood and carbonfiber steering wheels your local dealer may have some slightly used ones if you ask for them. personally i would get the wheel to match you wood interior but then again i got the carbon fiber one just beacause i like it
I also wanted to replace my steering wheel with the one in the Type S, but I heard that the air bag modules will not match up? Is this true? Has anyone else changed their steering wheel before? Thanks
