I have read several posts here reguarding the 5.1 stereo system and I have not decided yet, but I am considering replacing the stock speakers. Would anyone know the depth of the speakers? The size for the front door and back speakers is 6 1/2" I do believe and 8" for the sub, but you have to figure the depth into the equation as well. Having this info will help if I do decide on replacement. Also someone had removed the back seats to acess the rear deck, does anyone know how to do that?
Thanks Steve

Like I mentioned to you in the PM, you cannot actually access the rear speakers without removing the rear deck because they're bolted directly to the metal that is lying below the rear deck. And in order to remove the rear deck you have to take out the back seat.
I applied sound proofing material to my car a few weeks ago and that's what I had to do to get to the paneling that the speakers were mounted on. If you're trying to access it from the trunk side I think you would only see the bottoms of the speakers, and even then, there is metal you have to work through. It kind of looks like this, where the Xs represent the speaker areas.
----------------- rear deck (where the grill is)
__ xxxx ____ metal layer where speakers are bolted
-----xx--------- bottom of the speaker
----------------- bottom metal w/ cutouts so you can see fabric
----------------- fabric material that you see in the trunk
