Replacement Front Bumper

So as i was taking off my front plate yesterday i notice a drill hole from the bracket and also no acura lettering on the bumper ... hows that possible i thought all bumpers had that lettering. as its too late to go confront the shop that re did my bumper from the accident, guess i have to stick with my front plate on center -.-. what options u guys think i got? shudv checked the plate right after the install.

It could be an aftermarket replacement cover. Ive seen them around and wondered the same, I know OEM are all embossed.

pretty much.

you have to request and confirm that they use OEM parts. otherwise they'll put whatever they want on there to cut corners.

Sometimes it's your insurance as well.

Original estimate is written for whatever the appraiser likes. The shop that received your car should have noticed that the "ACURA" wasn't on the Aftermarket cover. You could complain depending on how long it has been. We get TLs all the time in the shop, and that's the first thing i look for on a front end hit. Insurance usually always writes for Aftermarket, and if the shop asks for an OE because of this reason, they usually pay for it. If i were you, go straight to your insurance company(call) and voice your concern.

If you go to the shop, they will tell you: "that's what they paid for." Even if you point out the differences to them. It is their fault for not noticing and asking for it on the supplement. But I would start with your insurance. They aren't the ones working on your pride and joy & if i had my choice.is-I'd piss them(your insurance co.) off first.

Its Definitly an Aftermarket Bumper, I ended buying one for my TL and it doesn't have the lettering also, which sucks but doable

it's after market for sure. most ins companies only pay for after market to lower their pay out. it's kinda your responsibility to fight for OEM and shops would careless what to put on.
