That could be a good alternative. I put silverstars in there but since they run at lower wattage they still looked like crap. At full wattage it would be ok but I am pleased with just eliminating them all together.

I was considering replacing the DRL's with Piaa Tera LED's.

Would the low wattage affect led's at all?

Actually I pulled the DRL fuse so they just never come on. If I could get them to have the HID look instead of piss yellow I would but they get such low wattage that even with whit bulbs in there they still look piss yellow so I disabled them all together. I put a blown fuse in there just in case there was any insurance liabilities if I got ina wreck or whatever. You never know.

Do you know which fuse to pull/replace? Or is it in the manual (i haven't taken delivery yet so I was just checking)

Also is there a way to run the fogs with just the parking lights? I think this might look good at dusk when the DRLs are disabled.

it is the fuse panel right above the hood latch, just read the back of the panel to see which one it is, it is in bottome row, I think second from the back but check the panel for sure

No, no one has figured out how to do that just yet. I have read severeal threads on that and it seems as if some people dont think there would be a way to do that.

Yes, direct light bulb replacement. Comptech's SS kit for 04-06 fits the TL-S/ I also have aliminum shifter bushings and GM sycromesh fluid in my tranny so it shifts worlds better than when new. Didnt change my HiD's, I think the stock bulbs have excellent color. IMO.

Sorry you feel that way.
You do realize the 04 - 06 fogs superior because:

1) they use 55W 9006 bulbs vs. the 35W h8 bulbs = +20W! more light output

2) The fogs are higher up, thus more light distributed in front of you.
Our old Accord had the low mounted fogs, and they we're all but useless even with stock halogen headlights. 04/06 fogs are effective, even with HIDs.

3) an HID kit is PnP...

I think the new fogs are more for looks than function given thier ineffectiveness.

and you can add an aux port for about $100... You're doing OK with your 2006.

Anyways, I bought these "Nokya Arctic White Pro Halogen 7000k H8" bulbs off of ebay for something like 15 bucks shipped. Couldnt be happier with the look. They match the HID's very well, no more pee yellow fog lamps. I replaced the driver bulb in the pics to show the difference.
Thanks for the tip, I ordered these lights and put them in today, what a nice difference, much closer to the HIDs than those yellow cast stock bulbs. Also installed my 07 Type S tails in my base TL today as well, feels liek a newer new car

Thansk for the info, put mine in today, rushed pics, and car is dirty and it is hard to see the difference in pictures, but the difference is huge, these bulbs are much closer to the HIDs and no ugly yellow cast.

I actually modified my front strut bar kinda like this guy did: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ght=grex+strut
Its a little bit in the reverse direction on rigidity although I am not really impressed with the greddy/accord top hat solution either. Not exactly a great solution. I am holding out in the hope that with the introduction of the type S that the aftermarket will respond better since it is more performance oriented.

The windshield is not tinted, it is the Circular Polarizer on the camera lens, it is used to reduce glare and reflections, one benefit is it tends to make the windows look darker due to the stray light being canceled out,

235 35 19 should be the same diameter as the stock wheels so there shouldbe no need for any calibration at all. just slap them on align and have fun.

Question Replace the DRL's for 2007 TL-S

I have 2007 TL-S. I would also like to replace the ugly yellow DRLs with some white low watt PIAA LEDs. The user's manual say that the DRLs use 60W HB3 bulbs. Does anyone know if these would fit ==> http://www.car-gym.com/catalog/produ...ducts_id=1232?

Thanks

Are the DRL's HB3 or H8? My 2007 TL-S manual says they are 60W HB3. I was thinking of replacing them with these ==> http://www.car-gym.com/catalog/produ...oducts_id=1232.

The fogs are H8, DRL's are HB3.

Hey Tony,

I see that you changed your location to MD; you already on PCS leave? My last unit is at Graf right now and they said that it's balls cold - good luck to you on that.

I ordered my UR pulley, hopefully it'll be in soon and then I need teins and a CAI. I'm getting there; but I gotta go a little at a time.

I wish you the best in Deutschland!!!

Yes, have been on PCS leave since the 25th. Left campbell at midnight!! I fly out to D-land next sunday. Still dont have pinpoints... Hey come on now, that SFC pay should be more than enough to fund the things you NEED for your S.

How about thoughts on replacing the daytime running lights on the 07 TL-S with something a little nicer? Anyone looked into that?

I looked into it. I replaced mine with some silverstars. I dont know why but since they dont get too bright (maybe it doesnt give full voltage) but the silverstars didnt even look different. I just ended up pulling the DRL fuse cause they are so ugly.
