Talking Replace front Bumper

I want the dealership to replace/repaint my bumper, does anyone know how much they will charge for it?

(first the mechanic for the dealership told me its 800 dollars, and when i went in person this guy in cheap ass business suit told me $1200 to replace a bumper which doesn't make sense)

does anyone know how much they should be charging to replace a bumper (replace, repaint and install)?

Do you have another dealer nearby that you can compare prices with? Or even a local paint shop would probably be cheaper.

Bumper costs $229.32- http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

Go to a good body shop and that will cost you about another $300-400 for paint and install.

Edit- didn't factor in the shipping costs so calculate that as well to your zip code from the site.

doesn't tim from honda acura world do some in house body work... pretty sure he'd do like $500 + shipping on a fully painted bumper

When I had my bumper painted by the dealer they charged me 650, that was a rip off and i dint care cause it wasnt me paying for it.

The front bumper is 225.70 unpainted.

Problem with having the bumper painted off site is the color match. With a 3 stage system it takes a while and many test pieces to have the color matched. I had a WDP front bumper painted, and you know what they are like from the factory (shade), Tthe shop did many test pieces, and the final result was a bumper that matched the body perfectly.

RIP OFF. go to a reputable shop in your area; the cost of the bumper should be 400 MAX...then there's of course painting...

I recently got my front right corner repainted because i had a scratch. there is this guy at my acura dealer who comes in twice a week to paint up cars and he charged me $150 and it looks real good. I'm in Va. Also price for a newly paint match front bumper cost $315 plus tax at my dealership. I don't know why people are saying it needs to be painted because it comes factory paint matched already.

Yep as mentioned, the bumper doesn't come painted from the factory. It comes in black primer, the grille is painted the standard flat metallic gray.
