Removing vanity plastic light covers

Hey guys I am trying to remove the plastic covers for the vanity lights that turn on when you open the mirrors on the driver and passenger sides. Both of these light covers are on the fabric and I dont want to take a chance are tearing any of the fabric. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove these? I got new leds and I am having trouble with these covers.

Thanks!

I hate those lights soooo much. But.. only because when I did it I was unaware of the real way to remove them. There is a slot on the side of the lens which makes you think thats the place to stick your screwdriver but its actually only for locating the side with the clip. What you want to do is slide your screwdriver between the headliner fabric and the metal cup the lens sits in. The you can press the clip in and pull down on the lens to remove it. Its actually outlined in the owners manual if I remember correctly (might be the service manual... both are available on this site).

Good luck!

Thanks for the input guys! Will the same lights I used for the map lights in front and back work for the vanity as well? Trying to figure that out before I go and try getting the vanity covers off.

Thanks!
