Removing Type S pedals to clean..how???

Removing Type S pedals to clean..how???
Does anyone know how to remove the metal sport pedals in order to clean them? It looks like an allen key but i am not sure. Thanks for any help with this

Back when I had my bushed aluminum pedals on my TL I would just clean them when they are on the pedals.

At least the gas pedal is riveted in I think. Brake can be removed, but not worth the hassle just to clean imo.

No need to take them off...just clean while they're on there. I'd just use dish soap and water. Obviously nothing that will leave a residue.

I always lay a towel under the pedals while cleaning them. leave them on, no need to remove them for cleaning. Spray your choice of cleaning solution on them, and agitate with a brush, then wipe clean.
