Removing black window trim under windows

I am trying to remove the window trim on my TL under the Windows, the black is peeling. I have read the DIY on how to wrap them with new vinyl and I have read the service manual instructions on how to remove the molding. However, I still have not been able to successfully get them off. I removed the screw for the front, I have pulled up and forward and it does not seem to be budging. Can someone help guide me? From where I removed the screw do I wedge my fingers in there and pull up? Out? Thanks so much!

Best I can say is be careful. The FSM says that they will bend when removed and to replace with new.

Pull straight back, in the direction opposite the door hinges and pillar.
The trim slides along a channel molded into the weatherstrip.
