I got another TL key remote from a friend that sold his TL but had kept one of the remotes. Is it possible for me to take the guts out mine and put it in his. His remote is brand new.

Just program that remote to your car. It is a very simple process. That way you can have 2 remotes that work.

I have followed instructions and it worked. But when I push on the unlock button, only the driver's door unlocks, other door stay locked. I am crazy I thought all doors would unlock?? I am not sure if it did before since my old remote doesnt work since i programmed new remote

 

That's an optional setting
Default sequences:
Push Unlock: Driver Door Unlocks
Push Unlock Twice: All Doors Unlock
Push Unlock Twice and Hold: All windows and roof open

 

this is a setting in the MID, make sure that you do not have 2 driver 1 keys or 2 driver 2 keys as this will screw up the system. All the settings can be changed through the memory link thing in the mid.

Having 2 driver one or 2 driver two remotes should screw up the system, I know, I have 2 driver one remotes setup. Cosmos - go into the MID and make the change to unlock all the doors and not just the drivers door if you want them all to open. Otherwise like timmahh said just push unlock twice when you want to unlock all the doors.
