Talking Remember me?

ok well i never gave up the search for my black on black TL.. If you dont remember my old thread well the guy was asking for 32 900 for a tl with navi just under 50k km.

i just found one with 40k km for 30 495$$$$!!!!!! best deal in montreal.

http://www.acurametropolitain.com/en...spy?id=1734272

ok so now is where you guys help

the total price is 34 xxx$$ with tax

they offerd warranty on any part of the car for 130k km for 1075$

comes out to 36 xxx$$ after taxes with the warranty ( original warranty on motor is till 2010 and 160k km!!)

DO I REALLY NEED THAT WARRANTY? do parts tend to break down on the 2005 TL?

Have you thought of coming down to the U.S and importing a TL from here into Canada? You wouldn't have to pay the higher tax for the import since the TL is built in Ohio. I think you could easily save $8k after all is said and done. Just a thought.

We have sold 4 cars to Canadians in the last month at our dealership. Just took a couple of weeks to work out all of the paperwork, then they flew in and drove the car up.

so the US dollar is currently higher than the Canadian dollar??

Do what Mastervtec says man.. I think it'll save u some bank.. the 05 TL here is ... at a really great price now.. Unless you want to wait till the 09 models come out. Then i'm sure that the 3rd gen TL will drop tremendously..

Even if the US dollar is slightly stronger than the Canadian, Acura's are still more expensive to buy up there, relatively speaking.

Seems like kind of a steep price even with the currency exchange..

Since you were in Montreal I would have hopped in the car and drove south an hour and bought a car in the states. I just bought an '04 with nav with 48k miles on it last week for $19,500.. dont know if you researched cars in the US seeing as with the nav. you can change the units to kilometers and what not but imho that might have been the way to go...

The warranty is not cross-country, so it sucks. Yes, we Canadians pay more for cars. That sucks even more.

ProblemChild, if i were you, i would get the extended warranty, because you won't be driving it for more than 6 years anyways. You'll always want the next TL

mm ic. well the price sounds kind of steep for the mileage. I picked up my 05 TL about a year ago and got it for 29k out the door. The warranty sounds a bit too much but you just never know. So far havent had to do any part replacement and it has not failed me thus far. I love the car, its been great to me. hope this maybe sort of helps.
