Redline Type F is amazing

I hope you like it. The only harsh shifting issues seem to be with very old switches and Type F. Otherwise it will shift nicer than new.

^^^ you mean your fill plug ?
the drain plug there is possibly no way you can strip....
if you let the car cool down its a better idea since the pressure in the tranny will be less....also when you open the drain plug it relieves a little of the pressure....
breaker bar is a must....i dont know how i would do without it....

If you did, you should just skip the fluid change and take a trip to sears. Get some craftsman "bolt-out" sockets in the larger size pack. It's $20 for a set of 6 sockets. These things really work. They have teeth cut into the inside that chew into the head of the bolt and get tighter as you lay on more torque.

You will also need to get a new drain plug from the dealer while your out.
If you mean you stripped the threads, then I don't know what to say...

And as swoosh mentioned, I hope your not talking about the #11 drain plug, I have no idea how it's possible to strip that:

I go thur to the dealership. I bought it 2wks ago so I said I just want a fluid change with my fluid and hopefully they will just think the plug was messed up when they sold it to me.

Its really not that bad but I'll let them put it on the lift and use a impact. I had a breaker on it and I was pulling like hell. And the back corner came out of the hole alittle and when I pulled it rounded it alittle.

So did my first 1x3 change. Uphshifts are great now. And I had go beat on it alittle getting on the highway and the high rpm shift are deff smoother. My only complaint is that the tl's seem to downshift and its transition is shitty. It's not a quick solid downshift. It's a slower transition. Ill do another 1x3 on 1,000 miles. And maybe switches as well. Car only has 19k on it so switches seem alittle to early.
Overall a good 37$ spent on ATF!
