Red/Camel TL
Red/Camel TL
Does anybody have pictures of a red/camel TL? Love to see them as I am considering ordering one next month. Maybe someone has seen one and can tell me what you think of it. Hope so. Thanks!
I have heard that it looks odd but I saw it in a blue TL and thought it looked great. Seemed to look a little more upscale than the parchmnet although I like parchment too. Any pics?
Camel Interior!
I have an Abyss Blue Pearl with the camel interior. It is darker than the parchment but still very light. I do not think it looks yellow and on the blue the color combo is great. This was not my 1st choice of color combo but the parchment was way too light for me. After having it for a week, I really love the color combo. Here is a picture of the interior taken in daylight.

I liked it when I saw it on the dealer lot today. Not so sure why many say too yellow, all depends on taste.

Camel and Red!
Ramilford,
I saw a camel and red at the dealer but it was an auto. I thought it looked pretty sweet and this was my 1st choice in color combo. I would have had to wait too long to get one in a 6spd. I am happy with the blue. It really looks great in the sun. I can't wait to get some Zaino on it.

ramilford,
I too saw RED?CAMEL at a dealer and loved it. Camel looks
very rich and is "darker" than Parch.. so won't get as dirty fast.
I like the way the wood and the aluminum work with camel and
red exterior. My pick in a few months.
Can anyone, based on experience, comment on what lighter leather looks like after a few years?? I have a black interior Integra and it still looks very clean inside....

I have Red/Camel
Hi all,
My TL is Red with Camel. My wife and I drove a Green with Camel on the test drive and loved that combo, but it wasn't available when we needed the car. I personally think it's a fantastic combination. The Camel contrasts nicely with the black dash and complements the Red exterior, particularly with the doors open. We had a sea green Saab 9-3 with an interior similar to Parchment, so the Camel was a nice change.

For whatever it's worth, I think the Red/Parchment combination is more appealling than the the Red/Camel.
I wanted the Red from the outset, but when I saw the Camel interior, I personally thought it had too much of an "orange hue".
The Parchment interior complements the Red very nicely and looks really classy - especially with the contrasting black steering wheel and instrument panel highlights.
Additionally, I think the Wood Grain inserts (in both the Camel and Parchment interiors) look much better than the Carbon Fiber in the Ebony and Quartz interiors
Just my 2-cents worth!

I agree with the camel being too strong in color....the contrast between the dark colored dash makes it look even worse. Of course, it is all a matter of opinion, by the glowing yellow color you can see when looking through the windows of a TL with camel is a bit overwhelming for me.
Sorry to dis-agree with you guys but light interiors on these cars are quiet un-attractive in my opinion. It's not so much the light colors as it is that odd looking light color trim (burlwood). To me and my wife it just....Doesn't look as luxurious. However, They use that wood on a lot of VW and Audi's. I guess if you come from a VW world, it may seem normal but coming from the BMW/Mercedes side of the house (my last two cars) it simply look too "VW-ish" for my tastes.
I would recommend seeing the camel interior on the car and not just looking at a pic prior to purchasing it. I think it's a love/hate color. It has a orangish hue in my opinion and I liked it when I saw a picture of it, and on the website, but didn't when I saw it in person.
I have the parchment interior and like it a great deal, but it does get dirty easy. I like the faux wood and parchment combinaton.
I do think that the camel interior looked better with a black exterior, but the camel orangish color with the red exterior will clash a bit IMHO.

As for the comment above, I definately think the camel is a love/hate thing...I hate it, some crazy/blind people love it (just kidding everyone). But, as I've stated before in previous threads, my opinion really doesn't matter to anyone but me.

It just doesn't look that rich to me. Then again, I'm 23 and am looking for a more sleek modern look as opposed to an attempt to look classy with the wood venier.

I have been in or seen several BMW's and Mercedes, and unless I am missing something, don't some of these vehicles have Wood appliques?
Perhaps, in these vehicles it is real wood, but Acura and VW are not the only autos that use this type of trim. You also find similar wood trim pieces in Infiniti's, Volvos, Nissans, and Chryslers. For example, you can opt for real California Walnut wood trim in a 300M, and it looks very rich. Contrarily, Infiniti's wood trim is very light, and is unattractive IMHO.
So, I guess I don't understand your point.
As for the debate over Camel versus Parchment, I personally prefer the parchment. Frankly, I think the Camel looks more 'vinyl-like' than authentic leather because of the orange/yellow hue.
Bottom Line - it is simply a matter of personal taste.
Happy Holidays,

I saw a red TL with parchment interior, the combo looked good. Parchment is nice when its clean. Quartz would have been a better interior color for the red ( the redondo red Accord gets the quartz as an option )
Went to dealer yesterday and found three Redondo Red TLs. All with parchment and all non-navi. They must have had about 15 TLs there and only one had navi. Maybe I will have to order my Red/Camel navi. How long a wait?
I also considered the camel but after looking at the parchment and camel with red side by side I went with the parchment. The camel is nice but I agree with some of the other posts that it has a orangish hue to it. And the camel seemed to take away the contrast of the wood trim as the two colors are simular. I would have gotten black leather but I did not like the fake looking carbon fiber trim, so I had to get the faux wood. The parchment with the contrasting wood and black dash/door and aluminum trim with the red just looks awsome. I have tinted my windows and it really sets the car off completely.
Everyone has their own idea of what looks good and we should go with it and enjoy a great car.

Now to me, the camel interior does look yellow and not to offend anyone here, but that colour makes the interior look like crap. The ebony interior is classy and to these eyes make this interior look amazing. I also think the quartz is quite nice. Parchment is okay, but light colours are not my bag.
I wouldn't call the camel interior "yellowish". It is a darker kind of "saddle" color that appeals to me. You find this same "camel/saddle" color leather in some Benzs, BMWs, and Lexus automobiles. It looks very sharp in the cars.
I agree that it is probably worthwhile to try and see the color combinations in person when dealing with something that is so subjective.
I went back to my original choice of Red and Parchment after driving 90 miles to check out a Red with Ebony. I used the dealers' links off of Acura's website to query all the dealers in the area for color combinations that I wanted to see. After nailing down my choice, I returned to my local dealer to place the order.
One other consideration might be how long you plan on holding on to the TL. Since I plan on holding onto the TL for a long time, I felt safe picking a combination that appealed to me personally. If I were planning on trading in or selling sooner, I might have gone with a combination that was a little more popular.
